Obituary: Walter H. Weeman, World War II Navy Veteran

Walter H. Weeman, 94, died Monday, Jan. 13, 2014 at the Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton after a short period of declining health.

He was the husband of 64 years of the late Sylvia N. (Needre) Weeman. Born in Boston, he was raised in Roxbury and was a graduate of Commerce High in Boston.

Mr. Weeman was a World War II Veteran of the United States Navy. He worked as a plant manager for ProPack in Brockton and Wareham for many years, retiring several years ago. Along with his wife, Mr. Weeman was extremely family oriented and dedicated to the well being of his family. He was an avid fan of the New England professional sports teams.

Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton on Friday, Jan. 17, at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton, at 10:30 a.m.

Visiting hours will be  Thursday, Jan. 16, from 4-7 p.m. Interment will take place at St. Joseph's Cemetery, West Roxbury. Donations in Walter's memory may be made to Parkinson's Foundation, 1501 NW 9th Ave., Bob Hope Rd., Miami, 363136.
