The following are local obituaries for Stoughton.

Charles W. Cash, Manager at Town Spa Pizza

Charles W. Cash, 84, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died at Southeast Rehabilitation and Skilled Care Center on Saturday, Oct. 5. Born in Boston, he was raised and educated in Canton. He also attended Northeastern University. He was a resident of Stoughton for more than 50 years. 

Mr. Cash was a Petty Officer 2nd Class Construction Mechanic in the U.S. Navy and a Veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was a machinist in the area and a manager at Town Spa Pizza in Stoughton for more than 45 years before retiring in February, 2013. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 200, the VFW Post 1645 and the AMVETS Post 1977 all in Stoughton.

He enjoyed deep sea fishing and fishing the lakes around Colebrook, N.H. with family and friends.

Mr. Cash is survived by his children, George P. Cash and his wife Fran of Gettysburg, PA, Donna I. Burrill and her husband Peter of Norton, Charles R. Cash of Stoughton and Philip J. Cash of West Bridgewater. He was the grandfather of Christopher, Timothy and Ian Burrill, Jamie Lee, Samantha and Melissa Cash, David Rentzel and his wife Kara of New Oxford, PA and the late Christine Cash. He was the brother of Albert Cash of Stoughton and Jack Cash of Canton and is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton on Thursday, Oct. 10 at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 10:30 a.m. The visiting Hours Wednesday from 4-7 p.m.

Interment will take place at Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton. Donations in Charles' memory may be made to the Stoughton Visiting Nurses Association, 10 Pearl St., Stoughton, MA 02072.

John J. Theriault, Fought at Omaha Beach

John J. Theriault, 89, a lifelong resident of Stoughton, died peacefully at Champion Rehabilitation Center in Brockton on Monday, Oct. 7. He was the husband of the late Elizabeth M. (Briscoe) Theriault. Son of the late John B. and Mary (LeCouffe) Theriault, he was born in Boston and educated in Avon and Stoughton schools. 

Mr. Theriault was a Private 1st Class in the 8th Armored Division with the U.S. Army and a Veteran of World War II. He fought at Omaha Beach during the invasion of Normandy and in the Battle of the Bulge. He worked in shipping for Avon Sole for 28 years and Corcoran Shoe for 10 years. 

He was a member of the Rubber Workers Union. He was a life-member of the Knights of Columbus in Easton, the American Legion Post 89 and VFW Post 1645 both in Stoughton. He was also a member of the Stoughton Historical Society. He enjoyed stamp collecting in his free time.

Mr. Theriault is survived by his twin sister, Florence Wilkinson of Brockton. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Ernest, Ralph, Norman and Earl Theriault. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. 

Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton on Friday, Oct. 11 at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 10:30 a.m. Visiting hours will be Thursday from 5-8 p.m.. 

Interment will take place at Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton. Donations in John's memory may be made to Stoughton Historical Society, 6 Park St., Stoughton, 02072.
