Gordon Oro: Longtime Stoughton Resident, World War II Veteran

Services will be held in Stoughton on Friday and Saturday.

Gordon W. Oro, 90, a longtime Stoughton resident, died on Tuesday, June 17. 

Born and raised in Boston, he was a Northeastern University graduate and also served in World War II in the eighth Armory Infantry Division. He received the French Legion Medal of Honor in 2013. 

A funeral service will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. in Stoughton on Saturday, June 21 at 10 a.m. Visiting hours will be held Friday, June 20, from 508 p.m.
