Ok--- had a nice looooong talk with each and everyone of them, while they were on the counter, of course. Consensus of opinion was- I spray them with water, or yell or toss something at them, -- and they agreed to jump down and wait for me to walk away, before jumping back up. A win win for both sides. Now, next topic up for discussion-just how many hairball upchucks in the middle of the night must I tolerate, before grabbing the cat and shaving it naked? They say 20- I'm more in the ballpark of 2.

Great post. I tried water sprays (soaked her, once), scolding, putting the cat down repeatedly, locking her in a bedroom (the trim of the door is all scratched up by Ms. Frantic). Do these people even have a cat?? I'm my cat's main focus of the day while, silly human, I have many things to focus on. As for hairballs, coming, esp. this time of year and fresh catnip helps her to pass the gobs of fur. It's not that hard to grow but you have to plant it in place (it can't be transplanted).

Got a huge bush of it on the terrace. Comes back even after the winter, and seriously, I have to hack it to keep it under control. Silly how people spend so much at the store for it. My cats are actually very clean. They clean off my counters of every single thing that can be pushed off. Then play street hockey with the things on the floor. I say- if you don't want cats on the counter, don't have cats.
