Boy Scout to Lend Stoughton Animal Shelter a Hand

As part of his Eagle Scout project, Billy Campanario will be working on making improvements at the Stoughton Animal Shelter at 499 West St.
Appearing before the selectmen, Campanario, a student at Southeastern Regional Technical High School, said he will be building waterproof cabinets, dogs beds, painting the outside, raising money to build a new outdoor freezer and working with the younger Scouts to make chew toys out of old hoses.
"It's always great to see the Scouts come in," said selectmen chairman John Anzivino.  "It's great to see you taking the lead."
Animal Control officer Michael Gormaley met with Campanario and wrote a letter in support of the project.
