Shabbat Across America

Shabbat
Across America at
Ahavath
Torah Congregation

On
Friday night, March 7, members of the greater Stoughton Jewish
community will gather at Ahavath Torah Congregation (ATC) to
participate in a nationwide event, "Shabbat Across America."
The synagogue will be one of hundreds of synagogues across the
continent to take part in an historic national Jewish event to
celebrate that which unifies all Jews—Shabbat! Everyone is
invited...singles, couples, families of all kinds and of all ages.

The evening begins with an enticing kosher Shabbat dinner at 6:00 PM.
The Shabbat Across America services (Kabbalat Shabbat) will follow
at 7:30 PM, and will include songs, prayers, and chance for quiet
introspection as well as community with fellow Jews. Special guest
Cantorial
Intern Dayna Bailen will lend her voice and talents to the service.
Cost for the dinner is $15.00 each for adults, $9 for children 11
and under, and free for children under age 5 accompanied by an adult.
There is no charge for the service at 7:30 PM. This event is open to
anyone and everyone who is interested in exploring Judaism and
finding personal connections to its centuries-old ways and
traditions. To make reservations, call 781-344-8733 or send an email
to office@atorah.org.

This Sabbath service
is also a Sisterhood Shabbat, and features participation from the
synagogue's sisterhood members.
