The following information is from the Old Colony YMCA:

This Saturday, Oct. 13, the Stoughton branch of the Old Colony YMCA will host the inaugural Y Ride, an outdoor cycling event to benefit the YMCA's Annual Campaign.

The Annual Campaign helps provide local children and families access to "life-changing, confidence-building programs and scholarships."

The scenic 50-mile course is from the Stoughton branch to the Old Colony YMCA's Middleboro branch, and back to Stoughton again. Riders will depart at 9 a.m. and are expected to arrive back casually between 12:30 and 3 p.m.

Their arrival back in Stoughton coincides with the Stoughton YMCA's Fall Open House, which goes from 12 p.m. until 3 p.m.

The open house will feature games, crafts, activities, entertainment, an event crew from Mix 104.1, vendor booths, facility tours, a BBQ lunch, and the chance to learn more about the YMCA's fall offerings.

The Stoughton YMCA is located at 445 Central St.
