Region Roundup: Bank Robber Arrested; UFO Sighting? (And More...)

A 30-year-old white male robbed Webster Bank on Washington St. in Stoughton the afternoon of June 11 and then fled the scene, but was arrested in Walpole later Monday evening, Stoughton Police Executive Officer Robert Devine said.

Nicholas Twomey, 30, of Homesite Rd. in Brockton, entered Webster Bank, located at the corner of Washington and Monk Streets, around 3 p.m. on June 11, passed a note to the teller, and made off with about $2,000 in cash, Devine said.

Twomey was arrested in Walpole around 7:30 that evening, charged with unarmed bank robbery, along with other offenses.

Flint Farm has been a mainstay in Mansfield since 1868, and has yet to miss a beat in the local farm business. Two Flint brothers originally bought the property when they came home from the Civil War, attempting to carve out a living after fighting in a terrible time.

Beth Flint, with the help of her husband and two sons, now keep up the family business.
