There are plenty of activities and entertainment options for the family in town and within driving distance this weekend.

It's almost Friday...time to start thinking about the weekend. Locally, there are plenty of options within driving distance for some weekend fun.

* Ladies Night at Club Luis de Camoes

Friday, April 1 is Ladies Night at (76 Porter Street) Starting at 6 p.m. enjoy a ladies night out for women of all ages. The evening will include dinner, a cash bar, games and prizes.

Dinner options are Portuguese soup and a choice of either surf and turf or bife a casa, or a stuffed shrimp plate, all served with french fries and rice.

* "Getting to Know You" this weekend at the Paris Cabaret/Starline Dinner Theatre

The Paris Cabaret, home of on Monk Street in Stoughton (off Washington Street near the downtown) is continuing its presentation of . The last three shows of this performance are this weekend: April 1, 2 and 3. Evening shows (April 1 and 2) begin at 6:30 p.m. and Sunday matinees (April 3) begin at 1 p.m. Enjoy dinner and a great performance!

* 2011 Kathleen M. Bedrosian Scholarship Tournament this Friday

From 5:30 p.m. until 9:30 p.m. on Friday, April 1, 15 teams from the schools, fire and police department will compete in the Kathleen M. Bedrosian Scholarship tournament at gymnasium.

Kathleen “Kitty” Bedrosian was a beloved teacher at the .  She was an inspiration to all that met her.  After a long and courageous battle with cancer, Kitty passed away during the spring of 2002. Tremendously missed by her family and friends, this tournament was named after Kitty to keep her memory alive in the town of Stoughton. 

Each year members of the community join together to raise money for the Stoughton Teachers’ Association scholarship fund.  Over the years, thousands of dollars have been raised for the graduating students of Stoughton High School.

* Rummage and Book sale at Ahavath Torah Congregation this Sunday

On Sunday, April 3, the Ahavath Torah Sisterhood is holding a Rummage and Book sale at the synagogue from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. There are sure to be a lot of great deals on clothing, bedding, shoes, purses, jewelry, small toys, books, household items and more.

* Preschool Storytime at the Library on Saturday

From 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 2, children ages 3.5 to 6 can come to storytime, held in the Children's Room of the .
