1. Hydrant Flushing

The Town of Stoughton Public Works Department will be conducting a water main flushing program starting on Monday, April 23 and continuing through Thursday, April 26 and then again starting on Monday, April 30 and continuing through Thursday, May 3.  

The majority of the work will be done between the hours of 9 p.m. and 3 a.m.

The areas to be flushed will include Pleasant St. (Washington to Turnpike), Turnpike St. (Pleasant to Randolph line) Lincoln St. (Washington to Central), Central St. (Washington to Avon line), York St. and Pine St. This will include but is not limited to all side roads. 2. Celebrate the Retirement of Gini Bulger

The Town of Stoughton's School Department will thank Gini Bulger for her decades of service to the .  It all happens on Friday, May 4, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Irish Cultural Center in Canton. 

Cost is $40 per person. For tickets, or other information, call Kathy Silva (781-297-5188) or email her (k_silva@stoughtonschools.org). Checks can be sent to Kathy through the Superintendent's office (232 Pearl Street, Stoughton, MA 02072).

Make checks payable to Kathy Silva.  Please send payment by Monday, April 23, 2012.

3. Homework Center at the Library

The Homework Center will be available for students in the Wales French room of the  this evening from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m

4. Senior Center Activities

5. Looking Ahead: Thursday is Food Pantry Day in Stoughton

Stoughton resident Peg Carbone continues her effort to curb hunger in Stoughton, personally picking up donations for the food pantries every Thursday.

Here's a note from Peg: "I pick up non perishable food and also household items every Thursday, anywhere in Stoughton and deliver them to the food pantry. Please tell your friends and neighbors. One item, one bag or several, and I will pick them up every Thursday."
