Five Things You Need to Know Today: Wednesday is the first day of school for students in Stoughton (plus looking ahead to Thursday's state primary election).

1. First Day of School for Students

Students in grades 1-12 in the Stoughton Public Schools report for their first day of the 2012-2013 school year Wednesday, September 5.

The first day for kindergarten students is Friday, September 7.


2. New Principals

The West Elementry School (Margaret Morgan), O'Donnell Middle School (Matt Colantonio) and Stoughton High School (Julie Miller) start the 2012-2013 school year with new principals.

The state primary election is on Thursday, September 6. Polls will be open from 7 a.m. until 8 p.m.
