Below freezing temperatures and widespread frost will kill sensitive vegetation, and it should deal a blow to the mosquito population, curbing the EEE threat many towns in the area have dealt with since July.

Temperatures will reach the low to mid-50s Friday, with temperatures falling to the low 30s in the overnight hours. The high is expected to be in the low 50s on Saturday during the day.
