2. Water Main Work in North Stoughton

Originally scheduled for Nov. 16-17, but postponed, water main work in north Stoughton will now take place this weekend.

This Friday, Nov. 30, Turnpike St. (Route 139) will be shut down between Page St. and the Pleasant St./Turnpike St. intersection starting at 7 p.m. until the evening of Saturday, Dec. 1.

Detours will be sent down Maple St. and can back up, so please seek alternate routes.

The road closure is a result of work being done on a 24' main in North Stoughton.

The DPW reminds residents that starting at 10 p.m. on Nov. 30 through noon on Dec. 1, the North Stoughton area, from Turnpike St. at Pleasant St. to the Canton, Avon and Randolph lines will experience low water pressure and possible water discoloration. If your water is discolored during this time, run the cold water for few minutes to run it clear.
