1. Looking Ahead: Stoughton High School Showcase

Parents/guardians of 8th grade students and/or any student who is considering Stoughton High School for the Fall of 2013 are cordially invited, along with their students, to the SHS Showcase.  

The Showcase will be held on Monday, Jan. 28, beginning at 6:30 p.m. in the high school auditorium.

The Stoughton High School community fosters the development of responsible citizens who value high academic expectations, diversity, and excellence.  

Come hear about all that Stoughton High School has to offer, take a tour of the building, and speak with representatives from Stoughton High's many clubs, activities, and sports teams.

2. O'Donnell Middle School Winter Concert Series Continues

The 7th Graders at the O'Donnell Middle School have their Winter Concert Wednesday, Jan. 23 starting at 7:30 p.m. in the Stoughton High auditorium.

The 7th Grade Chorus, 7th Grade Band and Tuesday Jazz Band will perform. Tickets (sold at the door) are $2 for adults and $1 for children and seniors, with a family maximum of $5. 

The 6th grade concert is scheduled for Jan. 30, which also takes place in the SHS auditorium.

3. Stoughton High Sports on Tap

The Stoughton High wrestling and swim teams both have meets at Milford.

The Stoughton High hockey team plays Oliver Ames at 7:30 p.m. Technically it's a road game for the Black Knights, but it will be played at the team's home ice at the Asiaf Arena in Brockton, which is also the home ice for OA.

4. Dodgeball Tournament Fundraiser

The Stoughton High Class of 2016 (this year's freshmen) are holding a Dodgeball Tournament fundraiser at Dirt Dawg Sports in Canton next Friday, Jan. 25 from 8 p.m. until 10 p.m.

It's open for players ages 12 and up. Up to six players per team. Teams must include at least two females. Cost is $30 per team ($5 per player).

Dirt Dawg Sports is located at 40 Industrial Dr. in Canton (off Route 138, near the Canton/Stoughton line).

5. Reminder: Thursday is Food Pantry Day in Stoughton

Stoughton resident Peg Carbone continues her effort to curb hunger in Stoughton, personally picking up donations for the food pantries every Thursday.

Here's a note from Peg: "I pick up non perishable food and also household items every Thursday, anywhere in Stoughton and deliver them to the food pantry. Please tell your friends and neighbors. One item, one bag or several, and I will pick them up every Thursday."
