1. New Year's Trash Schedule

Trash collection will take place as regularly scheduled on New Year's Eve, Monday, Dec. 31.

However, Tuesday, Jan. 1, there will be no curbside trash pickup in observance of New Year's Day. Trash collection will instead be scheduled for Wednesday, Jan. 2 in addition to the regular Wednesday collections.

All rubbish and recyclables must be curbside by 7 a.m. on your collection day.

Christmas Trees (with bags and stands removed) may be left curbside on your regular RECYCLING collection day and will be picked up by a separate truck during January only. This is the only method of disposal. Christmas trees will not be accepted at the Transfer Station.

2. Stoughton High Hockey in Action

The Stoughton High vs Brockton High ice hockey game originally scheduled for this past Saturday (consolation game of the Petruzziello Plaza Holiday Tournament) has been re-scheduled for 12 p.m. on Monday, 12/31 at the Asiaf Rink in Brockton.

3. Free Service on the MBTA

The MBTA will not collect fares after 8 p.m. on New Year's Eve, Dec. 31.

4. Free Coffee on New Year's Eve

Free coffee will be served at all 18 MassDOT service plazas courtesy of McDonalds, Burger King, and Gulf between 10 p.m. on New Year’s Eve, Monday, Dec. 31, until 5 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 1.
