Community Update

We have been busy over the past month, spreading the good news about our work in Tanzania, selling our Tanzania crafts, wrapping up the school year in Tanzania, working with our staff in Tanzania and more.

Our year end newsletter is hot off the press!  Click the link below to read all about our completed work in 2013 and our hopes and dreams for 2014.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you so much for the ongoing support of The Tanzania School Foundation & The School of St. Nicholas. Since the School of St. Nicholas opened in 2011, I have been so humbled by the generosity of you and 2013 has been no exception. From Rotary Clubs, individuals, families, school and Church groups and the many volunteers raising funding at Gillette Stadium, you have all demonstrated what extraordinary things can be achieved when we work together. Our school community continues to grow and next month we are all excited to give new uniforms and back packs loaded with school supplies to the 15 new students that will be joining us in 2014. These students have been given an opportunity to receive a free, high-quality English education so they can break the cycle of poverty that they have been born into. The team will be busy taking photos so we can share with you the pure joy on the faces of our new students and their families. Our hand painted Christmas ornament fundraising campaign over the past two years has been very successful!  With nine retailers in Tanzania and friends selling them in six countries on four continents this year,  we are happy to announce that this Christmas over 10,000 of our ornaments will be hanging on trees all around the world! We now employ 3 painters full time! This is beyond our wildest dreams...educating 20+ children and employing six locals full time in Tanzania and dozens of individuals part time.   If you haven't bought an ornament yet,  please consider having one hanging on your Christmas tree this year.  We have a few left right here in Stoughton for sale! It supports a great cause too!

Hugs,
