Patch is continuing its “Best Of” series this week, which allows readers to vote for their favorite businesses and places in Stoughton.

Last week we asked readers to vote for their . This week, we're asking you to vote for your favorite place to get ice cream/frozen yogurt in the Stoughton area.

The summer months are almost here, and while the weather has been dreary as of late, the crowds are already starting to flock to local ice cream parlors.

Gone from the Stoughton ice cream scene are mainstays Friendly's and Mur-Mac's, but there are still plenty of options in town and in the local area.

Voting in the poll below is open until 9 a.m. this Friday (May 18). We will announce the winner on May 18.

Because this poll is not scientific, it is not the sole consideration in choosing a winner. The winner will be determined by the Patch editor, based on poll results, (positive) comments on this article, and reviews on Patch Places. Please vote only once per survey, per Patch.

Below is a list of the places we’re including in the poll. Don’t see your favorite? Let us know in the comment section or by emailing Stoughton Patch editor Jeffrey Pickette at jeffrey.pickette@patch.com.

I am the biggest Town of Stoughton fan around...but Crescent Ridge, is far superior to anything, especially Daddy's... When we first got married, (29 years ago) my wife and i would drive out to Crescent Ridge.....it is so ironic, (probably destiny) that we now live right around the corner from this place....we as a family tried Daddy's the second year it was opened...we all got different flavors, we all come to the same conclusion they advertise different flavors, but in reality, it's all the same flavor, just different color.... to carry that point further.... one had vanilla, and they describe it beautifully by saying.... it was simply a white COLORED ICE... no flavor at all....and we've simply never been back....i know someone mentioned it in an above comment... but one time we were heading to one of the kids came, and we wanted ice cream....we did stop at Mcdonalds as oppose to going to Daddy's.... I wish i were wrong, cause i'd always like the things in and of Stoughton to do well, and yes...the workers were incredible....very, very nice...but the icecream itself was literally tasteless....just colored ice....Crescent Ridge no doubt....not even close...Go Knights

My vote is for Daddys, and this is why...being a resident of stoughton I have never once seen a new buisness give back to the town like Daddys Dairy has. Just last week I heard that they gave almost 1000.00 to the people of a house fire. I love seeing the teams they sponsor all over town,(and they give them free stuff after games). All around I think they are a great buisness. With that being said this is addressed to Stephen I once ordered an ice cream that didnt taste like the flavor and i told the woman working and she remade it.( she also said some flavors are not as great as others) I can see the fond memories of cridge you and your wife share and think thats awesome, but being a Black Knight is doing things for your community and I think thats what Daddys Dairy is trying to do. But you are right when you say that the kids who work there are wonderful, because they are, and most of them are Black Knights! :)
