Stoughton Resident Wins Contest to Have Burger Appear on Wahlburgers Menu in Hingham

Jenn Tracy of Stoughton was the winner of Wahlburgers "Create Our Next Burger" contest. The Hingham restaurant is owned by Chef Paul Wahlberg and his two celebrity brothers Mark and Donnie Wahlberg.

, the Hingham restaurant owned by Chef Paul Wahlberg and his two celebrity brothers Mark and Donnie Wahlberg, will place a new chicken burger on their menu for a month after a Stoughton woman was the winner of the restaurant’s “Create our Next Burger Contest.”

By winning, Jenn Tracy of Stoughton’ s recipe of chicken breast, fried onion sticks, caramelized onion, shredded lettuce, and the “Jenn Sauce” (mayo with garlic and honey) will appear on the Wahlburgers menu, according to Boston.com.

In August, the popular Hingham Shipyard restaurant launched a new " where fans could  submit burger recipes which were then judged by Chef Paul Wahlberg, his mother Alma, CEO Rick Vanzura and others.

Tracy’s  chicken burger was selected based on her creativity and tastiness of the toppings, types of buns and ingredients.

In addition to a spot on the menu, Tracy will also receive a Wahlburgers hat and T-shirt signed by Chef Wahlberg. 

Wahlberg and Vanzura said the contest was launched to reward their thousands of Facebook fans for their loyalty. Since the launch of the Facebook page last year, Wahlburgers has been very popular and has totaled over 17,300 fans. On Twitter they have over 15,000 followers.

“We wanted a new way to engage and give back to our Facebook fans,” Wahlberg said.
