Stoughton Chamber of Commerce Announces Fall Lineup

The Stoughton Chamber's September, October and November meeting locations and topics have been released.

The Stoughton Chamber of Commerce recently announced its first three post-summer meetings, with media, communications and guerilla marketing slated as the fall topics of discussion.

But before the Chamber goes into fall mode, there is one final summer event.

This Thursday, August 25, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., the Stoughton Chamber is taking part in a “Joint Business After Hours” with the Metro South Chamber of Commerce and the Neponset Valley Chamber of Commerce. The Irish Cultural Centre, located at 200 New Boston Drive (just off Route 138) in Canton, is playing host to this multi-chamber event.

The event, which is a chance for Stoughton business owners to network with other business owners in the area, will feature traditional Irish music and food. The cost for the event is $5 for Stoughton Chamber members and $15 for guests (non-members).

The next Stoughton Chamber event takes place September 6th at the Outback Steakhouse in Randolph at 11:30 a.m. Stoughton Patch, Snyder’s Stoughton, the Stoughton Journal and SMAC will be discussing their respective media outlets with chamber members.

will be hosting the October 3 meeting (6 p.m. start time). Chamber members will get to hear from various communication representatives/manufacturers and will get to see communication-based products.

And, Charlie’s Deli on South Main Street in Sharon will be hosting the November 14 meeting. The topic of discussion will be guerilla marketing—the “concepts of unconventional word of mouth marketing relying on time, energy, creativity, resourcefulness and targeted communication.”

Julie Dennehy, an accredited PR consultant will be the guest speaker at the November meeting.

Though, some of the events are not located in Stoughton, they are all hosted by Stoughton Chamber members, Terry Schneider, the executive director of the Stoughton Chamber explained.

The September, October and November events are $15 per person for members and $20 per person for guests. Meals will be served at all of these meetings.
