Patch Passport: Discover Treasures at Floral Fantasy

Stoughton’s is known for its friendly, personalized and professional customer service, and for its selection of bright, bold and beautiful flowers, but the Central Street flower shop also has an extensive collection of unique gifts—for any occasion and for any budget.

Owner Shoeleh Moarefi says Floral Fantasy, located at 979 Central St., is “more than just a flower shop.”

Gifts of all shapes and sizes—small statues, figurines, snow globes, decorative salt and pepper shakers, mugs, magnets, tea pots, serving platters, stuffed animals, vases, and greeting cards—line the side walls of her store.

Many of the figurines and trinkets make the perfect add-on to complete a gift or make the perfect “thinking of you” or “just because” type of present.

Fans of I Love Lucy, Tweety, Betty Boop, Disney and the Wizard of Oz should take note, as Floral Fantasy had many items pertaining to these shows, movies or characters.

There are also a wide variety of caramels at the front counter, the perfect sweet topper to any gift or floral bouquet.

Gift-wrapping is also available. And, Floral Fantasy also offers gift baskets with a “great selection of high quality specialty gifts, plants, fresh flowers, candy, chocolate, candles, candle Holders, decorative silk arrangements, and novelty items.”

Moarefi opened Floral Fantasy in 1998, but has been in the business for more than 35 years. She’s open every day of the year, except July 4th.

And, of course, she sells flowers and plants (and balloons) in the store, and designs and supplies floral arrangements for weddings and all sorts of other special occasions. She said she does daily flower deliveries and will travel to do weddings and other parties.

Moarefi said she takes pride in her customer service and likes to “stay within the customer’s budget.” And because of that, she said it is rare to see someone leave her store empty handed.

“We have a unique gift for every budget,” she said.
