New Brazilian Business for Wyman Street

A new business will be opening up on Wyman Street after receiving approval from the Stoughton selectmen Tuesday night.

Avellio Fernandes will be running Brazilian Express at 34 Wyman St. The store will sell coffee, frozen yogurt and provide services to pay bills. The store will be open 24 hours during snowstorm.

"I want to be open for the guys when they are plowing," said Fernandes. "I used to plow."

Fernandes is hoping to open soon and was waiting for the frozen yogurt machines to be up and running.

"We're going sell coffee for 99 cents and yogurt for $2. It's a great location."

The building used to house a hair salon.

"I think it would be a good addition to the square once folks find the place," said selectman Cynthia Walsh. "There will traffic from the train folks."

Selectmen also approved the management change to Tresa Salters at Governor's Pub.
