What a Night for Stoughton's Christmas Parade of Lights

Going from the day to the night worked out quite well for Christmas Parade of Lights in Stoughton. It was the first time the parade was held under the lights Saturday night.

Crowds lined Pearl Street into the center of town to hear the bands, including the awarding Stoughton High band, see the floats, fire, police and department of works vehicles, the marchers, local businesses, the Shriners, current military members and veterans, including a submarine crew from Marblehead, and especially the Boston EMS, the Watertown Police, First Responders from the Boston Marathon, including the man in the cowboy hat, Carlos Arredondo.

The parade finished at Halloran Park where Santa and Mrs. Claus were available for photos.

Please post any photos you have of the Christmas Parade on Stoughton Patch and tell us in the comment section what you thought about having the parade under the lights.

It was a nice parade. Think I'd like to see it go back to daytime though. It was colder at night, of course. You couldn't see the names on the trucks, or the people in them. (I was on Pearl Street by SHS.) When candy was thrown into the crowd, the kids couldn't see it, and this morning, there was candy all over Pearl Street. I realize now that Pearl Street is in need of more streetlights.
