The Stoughton-based company is handling the renovations of the library and lecture hall and was able to clean-up both in order to all activities to continue.

Frank Fulginiti, the owner of the company, told The Pilot that they had eight cameras on the site and turned over the video to the police.

"It's a big job. It's a long group of phases and stages to get it complete," said Fulginiti in The Pilot.. "This is Msgr. (James P.) Moroney's dream and St. John's dream to have a nice local place that people can come in and visit all these archived books and learn about canon law, and learn more about their religion."

Vandals discharged fire extinguishers on the floor of the lecture hall, destroyed the organ, removed a gold crucifix for the altar and defaced the Blessed Pope John XX11's picture. There also left food and drinks on the altar, including a half empty bottle of Italian wine.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Boston Police Department's District D-14 (Brighton) detectives at 617-343-4256.
