'Murder of Loaded Librarian' Plays to Packed House

Who delivered the best performances Saturday night?

So who did Detective Lt. Cluseau (Stoughton Police Deputy Chief Robert Devine) put into handcuffs for the death of gigolo Rocky Stallion (Windsor Tire manager Chris Petrie) during Stoughton's Support Our Library Association's "Murder of the Loaded Librarian" at Ahavath Torah Congregation Saturday night?

For the second year in a row, the play was presented in front of a full house, drawing a lot of laughs throughout the entire evening. The performance features town officials and local "celebrites" performing to benefit the library.

In this year's play, a rich patron of the library and the creator of Library Paste Barbecue Sauce, Mrs. Lotta Bux, died, and her will was read in her lawyer's office. Her family and staff were hoping to inherit a trillion dollars, but she was her typically nasty self to them. Instead, the mean old woman gave her money to Stallion, who was dating her and almost everyone else in the play.

In the second half of the play, Stallion was found murdered on the floor. Fortunately, Detective Lt. Cluseau came on the scene to help solve the case.

If you were in the crowd, we want to know who you thought earned the "Stoughton Tony" for best performance. Please cast your "vote" in the comment section. The play is also going to be shown on Stoughton Cable Access.

Members of the cast were:

Oh yeah, the murderer was Nurse Hatchet, whom Rocky was blackmailing. She forget to give Mrs. Bux her medicine, because she was with Rocky.

David Kelley guessed correctly and was the prize winner.
