Free events at the Stoughton Public Library in January

Stoughton Zumba teacher Carolina Pokraka leads a series of four free classes for adults beginning Jan. 25 in the library’s Wales French Room.

All classes will be held Saturday afternoons from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Space is limited so please call or visit the library to sign up after under way  The schedule is as follows:  Saturday, Jan. 25 , Saturday, Feb. 1, Feb. 8 and Feb. 15.

Thursday, Jan. 9 at 7 p.m. Canadian Maritimes Phototour with Ray DesRoches.  Join us for another year of travels around the world with the South Shore Camera Club! 

Tuesday, Jan. 21, at 1 p.m. Stoughton Public Library Book Discussion.  ‘Defending Jacob’, by William Landay will be discussed. Light refreshments.  Please be sure to read the book before joining the discussion. Copies are available through the Old Colony Library Network.

Thursday, Jan, 23, at 6:30 p.m. Dr. Gary Hylander will take us back 100 years to ‘The Outbreak of the First World War.’ Dubbed ‘The War to End All Wars,' the WWI reshaped the world map and established the United States as a world power.
