This Mother's Day Honor a Woman You Love with a Gift to a Woman in Need

BOSTON (April 15, 2014) – Mother’s Day is May 11 and this year you can honor your mother or another special woman in your life with a beautifully designed card that delivers a warm greeting and supports women experiencing poverty and homelessness. For a $25 donation, The Women’s Lunch Place will send a hand-signed card on your behalf or we will mail it to you directly.

Mother’s Day cards are available online at www.womenslunchplace.org. The cards will also be sold at various locations in downtown Boston, including the Food Court at The Shops at Prudential Center. Cards may be purchased from 11 a.m. - 6 p.m. on May 8 through May 10.

The card features artwork created by a guest of the Women’s Lunch Place. “100% of the proceeds from the Mother’s Day card campaign help us provide a wide array of support services to the most vulnerable women in our community, including nutritious meals, job readiness and employment assistance, health care, and housing advocacy,” explained Women’s Lunch Place Executive Director Elizabeth Keeley. Additional Mother’s Day donation opportunities include sponsoring a meal at the shelter in the name of a special person in your life a breakfast for $125 or a lunch for $250.
