Stoughton resident chosen as Dana-Farber patient partner

Jimmy Fund Clinic patient, Darla Holloway, 5, has been named one of the patient partners for the BURGER KING and Valvoline Instant Oil Change A Chance for Kids & Families program. Darla lives in Stoughton with her parents Daryl and Sherelle Holloway and her siblings Delaine, Daryl Jr., Jameela, Donyea, and Darelle. All proceeds from this program benefit adult and pediatric cancer care and research at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.

Darla was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia in April 2012 and completed treatment in May 2014. She enjoys painting, singing, riding her bicycle, Snow White and cheerleading, and will start kindergarten in September. Darla made her singing debut at Fenway Park in August 2013 during the WEEI/NESN Jimmy Fund Radio-Telethon, where she sang “God Bless America.”

From July 28 through September 7, customers can help fight cancer by contributing $1 to the Jimmy Fund through the A Chance for Kids & Families program at participating BURGER KING restaurants in six New England states and throughout New York and New Jersey, and at participating Valvoline Instant Oil Change locations in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Rhode Island.
