Stoughton, MA—Stoughton Farmers Market, a non-profit corporation formed for the benefit of area residents, bringing them healthy, fresh produce and other locally produced and prepared foods, is open to sponsors this year for the first time.

The Market, in its second full year has relocated to the Universalist Church Green, smack in the middle of Stoughton Center, with free parking and lots of fabulous vendors for fresh fruits, veggies, seafood and fish, baked goods, soda, cheese, eggs, and many other offerings as well as a smattering of artisan booths from local folk producing healthy product lines.  The Market opens Saturday, June 14, 2014 and runs from 10 AM – 2 PM that day and every Saturday through the middle of October.

“We have some wonderful sponsors already on board, their funding allowing us to do more regular advertising so residents of the area know what a great market we have,” said Pam Carr, SFM President.  “We plan food demos, some special kids events, raffles and giveaways and we will have live music every week that weather permits,” she continued.

“Our sponsor options range from low “Friend” options in any amount under $100 to Platinum sponsors at $1000.  Platinum (and Gold Sponsors for $750) will be allowed to be at the market to meet area residents and talk to them about their business though only one sponsor of Platinum or Gold will be allowed weekly so in this way we can have our wonderful community supporters see and enjoy the community feel or our market and have our citizens be introduced to their offerings as well,” said Sharon Fradkin of the SFM Board.

Anyone interested in sponsoring the market or wanting to support the market with a donation should contact StoughtonFarmersMarket@gmail.com or call Sharon Fradkin at 781-856-5245.  Most sponsorship levels include a listing on the weekly Sponsor Sign at the market, on SFM’s website and Facebook page and in the weekly newsletter that will start to go out to a large list after the market starts.  If you’d like to get on the newsletter mailing list, go to www.StoughtonFarmersMarket.org to sign up.

“This is a community activity that will help in Stoughton Center’s revitalization plans as well as bringing healthful offerings and local artisans together and we hope many sponsors will take advantage of our offerings,” said Teresa Tapper, Farm Manager.  SFM is SNAP-approved.                                                                                                                                              ++++++end++++++
