Zachary's, Corner Cafe on the Move

Zachary's on the Move

Zachary's will be making it's long anticipated move, ready to open its new, larger location on Wednesday.

The popular breakfast and lunch establishment closed its longtime home at the corner of Washington St. and Brock St. last Friday.

Zachary's will reopen Wednesday, September 4 at its new space at 1778 Washington St. in the Planet Fitness Plaza, owner Joe McGovern said.

It's about a 1.5 mile move down Route 138/Washington St.

The new location will have about twice the seating capacity as the old location.

Corner Cafe on the Move

Meanwhile, the former Zachary's location will not stay vacant long.

Corner Cafe, currently located at the old Best Pals location at Canton and School Streets, is planning a move to a new corner in town - the now vacant restaurant space at Washington and Brock Streets, owner Ed Wormald said.

Corner Cafe, which also serves breakfast and lunch, opened in February of 2012.

The old Zachary's location will give Corner Cafe more parking and more seating inside.

No set date has been announced for the move, although it could come as soon as later this month. In the meantime, Corner Cafe will remain open at its current location.
