The Stoughton School Department will be offering tours of the high schools Tuesday, Oct. 8 and Thursday, Oct. 10, at 6 and 7 p.m. They are trying to build a new high school and want to let people know the conditions of the present schools.
South Coast Rail Open House Tonight
The Massachusetts Department of Transportation will be hosting an open house on the South Coast Rail, which is slated to go through Stoughton, Tuesday, Oct. 8, 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Taunton High and at the Advanced Technology & Manufacturing Center (ATMC) UMASS Dartmouth 151 Martine St., Fall River, Thursday, Oct. 17, at 5:30-7:30 p.m.
Stoughton Girl Scouts Take Part in Martial Arts Workshop
Girl Scouts from Stoughton, Canton and Easton attended a martial arts workshop at the Field Martial Arts Academy in Sharon. The girls had a great time while learning some basic blocks, punches, and kicks. The fun workshop also stressed the importance of respect, positive thinking, and always trying your best.
Mark Down Taste of Stoughton & Business Expo
Peg Carbone and The Stoughton Chamber of Commerce are inviting you to The Taste of Stoughton & Business Expo and to help them "Stuff a Truck" for Stoughton Food Pantries, Saturday, Oct. 19 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Stoughton High cafeteria. The truck is owned by Terry Schneider, the executive director of The Stoughton Chamber of Commerce, that is bringing back the Taste of Stoughton & Business Expo. Subway to Host Fundraiser for Stoughton Senior Class
Subway is once again during a fundraiser for the Stoughton Class of 2014 All Night Grad party. They will be raising money for senior class Wednesday from 2-9 p.m. Last year's class was able to raise more than $1,200 for the event, which is the grand finale of the year.
