STOYAC Basketball Sign-Up Tonight

Bob’s Famous Foodmart Gearing Up for Annual Kid’s Day, 5K Run

Bob’s Famous Foomart will be hosting its 9th Annual Kid’s Day and 4th Annual Bob DiMatteo Memorial 5K Run (and 5K Walk) Sunday, Sept. 8 at Bob’s (289 Park St. in Stoughton).

It’s two events in one. All the fun takes place, rain or shine, from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m.

Check Out Stoughton YMCA

The YMCA Stoughton/Stiair Branch will be holding an Arts & Humanties Expo, featuring gymnastics, dance and music tonight for 5-9 p.m. Saturday, it will Family Fun Day from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

STOYAC Basketball Signups

STOYAC Basketball signups for the recreation league will be held Thursday, Sept. 12, from 6-8 p.m. in the O'Donnell Middle School Cafeteria

  • Second grade - instructional
  • Third and Fourth grades - peewees
  • Fifth and Sixth grades - juniors
  • Seventh and Eight grades - seniors
  • Ninth through 12th grades - graduates (non high school team players)
Separate divisions for boys and girls except instructional. Anyone interested in coaching can also signup at this time.

Friday Night in Food Night at Stoughton Sons of Italy

Friday nights, the Stoughton Sons of Italy serves food. Tonight on the menu are baby back ribs, full and half-rib, grilled boneless chicken breast marinated, baked Haddock. All dinners are served with salad, baked potato, corn, break, butter and dessert. Ask for Nancy, tell her Mike sent you.

Celebrate the Fest at Immaculate Conception Church

The feast in honor of Our Lady of Fatima is behind held Sept. 6-8, rain or shine. If it rains, feast and show will be in the church hall. It is $5 person and capacity will be limited.

Friday, there will be a Mass at 6 p.m., followed by music by Underground Sound & DJ.

Saturday, there will be a Mass at 6 p.m., followed by a candlelight procession, followed by music by Catia & Enio, and Starlight from Canada.

Sunday, there will be a Mass at 12:30 p.m., followed by the procession with the St. John's Band, the Folcoric Group of Taunton Eagles Club at 5 p.m. and then music by local artist Enio, Arlindo Andrade and Michelle Romeiro. 

Meat on a stick, hot bread, fried dough and other items will be sold.
