According to the Stoughton Public Works Department, there will be no curbside trash collection in observance of Christmas. Trash collection will be Thursday, Dec. 26 in addition to the regular Thursday collection. This is standard procedure for any holiday.
Fall Sports Awards Night Jan. 9
The Stoughton Fall Sports Awards Night has been moved to Jan. 9 in SHS auditorium at 6:30 p.m. It was canceled for a second time Monday night.
Perdigao to Attend Southern New Hampshire
Congratulations to Stoughton's Britt Perdigao, a senior at Coyle-Cassidy, who recently signed a letter of intent to go to Southern New Hampshire University to play softball. Perdigao is a shortstop was an Eastern All-Conference all-star. She also plays basketball for the Warriors.
Olem Named Coach at Whitman-Hanson
Also congratulations to former Stoughton High standout Jenna Olem on becoming the new Whitman-Hanson girls' basketball and girls' softball coach at Whitman-Hanson. She is also a special education teacher at Oliver Ames High School. You can read the whole announcement at ESPN-Boston.com.

With the snow gone, it will be the start of a warm up the rest of the week, according to WHDH. Today, there will be sunny skies ranging from 23 to 35. Peaking head, WHDH is saying that there will be temperatures in mid-50s for the last minute Christmas shopping.
