Stoughton Firefighters to Put Together Care Packages For Service Personnel

The Hanny Landman Committee is putting a Christmas package of toiletries, candy, DVDs and other items to be sent to any Stoughton resident currently serving in the military away from home. This is sent to the service person on behalf of all residents thanking them for their service and sacrifice.
Stoughton fightfighers Jim Rush and Jim Brackett are the co-chairman of the Harry Landman Committee. All names of those serving away from home need to be typewritten and delivered to the fire station at 30 Freeman St., no later than Dec. 4.

-Members of Israeli's elite Navy Seals will be speaking at Ahavath Torah Congregation, Thursday, Nov. 14, at 7 p.m. as part of the Hausman Memorial Speaker Series. A $10 minimum donation is suggested. There will be no photography, recording or backpacks allowed.

-The Stoughton Police are collecting new, unwrapped, age appropriate toys for toddlers to teens for Toy for Tots. Toys can be dropped at the Stoughton Police Department, 26 Rose St., in Stoughton.

-The Stoughton High football team will be traveling to Oliver Ames Friday night to play the Tigers in the Division 3 Southwest final game. Game time is 7 p.m.

--Fall is making a return today, according to WHDH-TV. After a cold start in the morning, there will be sunny skies with highs from 48-52.
