No Trash Pick-Up Wednesday in Stoughton

There will be no trash pick up  Wednesday, Jan. 22, because of the inclement weather. Trash pick up for Wednesday will resume on Thursday, Jan. 23,  as well as the regular scheduled Thursday pickup.

Prospective Member Open House at Ahavath Torah
Ahavath Torah Congregation's membership committee will be holding a Shabbat Dinner and Prospective Member Open House, Friday, Jan. 31. at 6 p.m., followed by Kabbalat Shabbat, or Sabbath services at 7:30 p.m. Prospective new members will be able to meet current members, the Rabbi, education director and staff and tour the facility. The dinner is free of charge to all prospective members. For current members, the cost is $15 for adults and $9 for children and free for children under four there is no charge. You are asked to RSVP for dinner (including names of all guests) by Monday, Jan. 27 to office@atorah.org or call 781-344-8733. The Kabbalat service is open to all.

Sign up Stoughton Boys', Girls' Lacrosse Teams 
Teams are filling up fast for Stoughton Boys' Youth Lacrosse. If you are interested in playing, register now to avoid being put on the wait list. Registration fees for boys'-Grade 1-2, $125. Boys' grade 3-4, $175, five spots available, grades 5-6 $175, six spots available, grades 7-9, $175, two spots available. The girls' lacrosse program is for grades 5-9 and the registration fee is $150. Every player is also required to pay a separate membership fee that goes directly to the US Lacrosse Association. For more information or to register online, visitwww.stoughtonlax.org. Senior Center Book Club to Discuss 'The Help'
The Book Club at the Stoughton Senior will be meeting Tuesday, Jan. 28, at 10:30 a.m. at the senior center. The book, "The Help" will be reviewed and the book, "The Man Who Loved Jane Austin" will be distributed.

What to Wear Today...For Shoveling?
The heaviest of the snow will be ending early to mid-morning, according to WHDH. The blowing and drifting snow will continue into the afternoon. The high is expected to be near 15.
