Kid Care Dental Offers Halloween Candy Buy Back

Kid Care Dental at 1613 Central St. will be holding the Great Halloween Candy Buy Back from Friday, Nov. 1 through Thursday, Nov. 7, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. They will be collecting and will play each child $1 for each pound of candy collected with a five pound per child maximum. They are doing this because they know the damaging effect of too much candy on children's teeth. Children are asked to pick out their favorite candy and donated the rest, which will be shipped to the troops overseas.

Time to Roast Stoughton Police Chief
Stoughton Police Chief Paul Shastany will be roasted Friday, Nov. 8, from 7-9:30 p.m. at the Portuguese Nation Club. A portion of the proceeds will go to the chief's selected charity, "Cops for Kids with Cancer." Tickets are $25 and available at Windsor Tire , Copy Inks and atwww.stoughtonMA.com. The roster lineup includes attorney Fran Crimmins, the former town manager, Bob Devine, the Deputy Police Chief, John Batchelder, the Stoughton DPW Superintendent, selectman Steve Anastos, former selectman John Anderson and Ken Shastany, the chief's brother. Mark Snyder will be the host.



Stoughton DPW's Recycling Hours
The Stoughton Department will have Gay Street pit, behind Meads Meadow, open for the four Saturdays in November, starting Nov. 2, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.. It will be for leaf disposal and chipable brush. There will be three trash trucks available. All containers will have dumped and there will be a barrel for bags. The recycling center will continue to be open Sundays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. 

Mack Attack at East Coast Prep
Aaron Mack had a big game for the East Coast Prep in game against the Norwich University JV, carrying the ball 15 times for 181-yards for 12.1 average with three touchdowns. The 2013 Stoughton High graduate is playing running back and defensive back for the Great Barrington school, who started off the season with 4-4 record playing mostly against college junior varsity teams. What to Wear to Today
It will be chilly today with some sun, according to WHDH. Temperatures will be in the 50s. If you are doing to the Stoughton football game at Foxborough, dress warm as a low temperature of 32 is expected.
