Stoughton's change in EEE status has been changed from moderate to low. With that change, the Stoughton High has lifted its evening outside curfew. All outdoor student actives is resuming as normal. The Stoughton-Sharon football game has been moved to 6 p.m. Friday.
Stoughton Food Bank Drive Oct. 25-26 The sixth annual Stoughton Food Bank Drive, held by Stoughton VFW Post 1645 will be held Friday, Oct. 25, and Sunday, Oct. 26 for 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on both days. They will be collecting canned goods and non-perishable items such as paper towels, napkins, soap toilet paper. Volunteers will be stationed at Faxon Veterans Memorial Park, across from the Stoughton Public Library. Donors may drive up to the park and the volunteers will unload your donations. Volunteers are needed and you can just stop by Faxon Veterans Memorial Park and stay as long as you wish.
Stoughton Schools Ask Class of 2012 for Help The Stoughton schools are asking the Class of 2012 to fill out a survey to help them shape school programs to prepare students with disabilities for adult lives (college, vocational training and good jobs.) The survey can be filled out online, or by call the special education office at 781-344-7003 ext. 7321 or in person at the special education office at the Jones School between Oct. 21-25 between 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Data will only be collected until Nov. 1
Changes Coming to South Station A new CVS, Starbucks, a 40-seat Tavern in the Square and the return of Barbara's Books are part of major transformation at South Station, according to a report in the Boston Herald. The project is expected to take place in the next few months.
