Town of Stoughton Fire Flow Testing

The following is from the Stoughton DPW:

Telgian Corporation will be conducting a fire flow test at 1 Hawes Way in Stoughton on Thursday, August 29, starting at 9 p.m.

This activity will cause discolored water in varying degrees in all sections of town. Those who experience water discoloration should flush their water
systems by opening the cold water faucet for a few minutes and then waiting for about an hour. If the water is still not clear, they should repeat the flushing procedure.

The Public Works Department regrets that it cannot be responsible for any damages incurred as a result of this testing activity which is a necessary and normal function of the water department.

No Trash Collection on Labor Day

The following is from the Stoughton DPW:

On Monday, September 2, there will be no curbside trash collection in observance of Labor Day.  Trash collection for Labor Day will be scheduled for Tuesday, September 3, in addition to the regular Tuesday collection.  This is standard procedure for any holiday.

All rubbish and recyclables must be curbside by 7 a.m. on your collection day.
