'5 For the Cure' American Cancer Walk Saturday

Sept. 28, Stoughton High School will be holding its fifth annual "5 for the Cure" American Cancer Fundraiser Walk, Saturday, Sept. 28. Cancer comes in many forms and touches the lives of many us through our family, friends and neighbors that have been diagnosed, treated, and in too many cases become victims of this terrible disease. Cancer does not discriminate in regard to age, gender, or race. It is only through continued research that new treatments will be found in the fight against cancer, and research cost money. The "5 For the Cure" walk provides the S.H.S. community an opportunity to support this fight. The walk will begin at 9 a.m. in the cafeteria side parking lot, and travel 5K through Stoughton. They ask that each walker make a $5 donation to the American Cancer Society, and the money raised will then be sent to the American Cancer Society to assist in their research grants. Gather your friends, your teachers, your teammates, your neighbors, and your family member, and join them as they do their part, here at SHS, in helping "Create a World of Less Cancer and More Birthdays."

The Stoughton High football team will be traveling to Milford tonight, going for their third straight win. It is the last of three straight away games for the Black Knights and their first game in the Davenport Division.

There will be a Star Wars Symposium at the Stoughton Library from 2-4 p.m. The event is for ages 5 and up. You can come dressed as a character for the costume contents, bring items for show and tell, take part in trivia games and play video game.
