The Stoughton Board of Selectmen will hold an open house Thursday, Dec. 20, 2012 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. to thank Interim Town Manager Joseph D. Feaster, Jr. for his service to the town and to welcome incoming Town Manager Michael J. Hartman.
The Open House will be in the Great Hall on the third floor of the Town Hall and all residents are welcome.

Hartman, a Canton resident, was previously Town Manager in Jaffrey, NH (2007-2012). He will start in Stoughton Dec. 17.
Feaster's contract as Interim Town Manager expires Dec. 28, with the brief overlap in the two contracts providing the new town manager an acclimation/transition period, Board of Selectmen Chair John Stagnone said.

More About Stoughton Town Hall
Town Hall is located in the downtown area at the intersection of Porter and Pearl Streets. Open since 1881, the building is one of the most recognized and historic landmarks in Stoughton. The Town Hall houses the Town Manager's office, the Board of Selectmen, the town clerk, the tax collector, the town auditor, the town treasurer, the veterans' agent, the Zoning Board, the Planning Board, the Conservation Commission, the Recreation Department and the Board of Public Health, among other departments. Great Hall, located on the third floor, is the main meeting room.
At Town Hall residents can register to vote; pay excise or real estate taxes; obtain birth or death certificates; obtain marriage licenses; obtain copies of property assessment cards; obtain a dog license; obtain zoning or building permits; and inquire about veteran's services.
