Entries Sought for Scarecrow Making Contest- at The Arbors at Stoughton
The Arbors at Stoughton invites any business, club or organization to submit an entry into their Scarecrow Making contest. The contest is open to any business, club or organization from any area and of any age group.
Entries must be checked in at the The Arbors at Stoughton located at 2121 Central Street, in Stoughton, MA by noon on Sunday, October 9th.
All businesses, clubs or organizations are responsible for all their supplies and must keep within the size limits of 4 feet wide by 8 feet high. No electricity will be available. Participants are urged to be creative, choosing a theme that represents their business, club or organization.
Although not required, decorations surrounding the scarecrow such as mums, hay, etc. to enhance its presentation are permitted but must be kept within the size limits.
A $100 first, $75- second, and $50 third place award will be given to the top three entries. Entries will be judged by the residents on Tuesday Oct. 11th.
All scarecrows will be displayed at the entry and courtyard of The Arbors at Stoughton, and will remain on display throughout the month of October. After Oct. 31st you may retrieve you scarecrow if you wish.
No entries can be removed before that time. Clubs, businesses or organizations interested in participating in the scarecrow contest are asked to call :
