The Old Colony YMCA has partnered with Darkness to Light, a non-profit organization, with an ultimate goal of ending childhood sexual abuse. Darkness to Light developed Stewards of Children, a training program that educates adults to prevent, recognize, and react responsibly to child sexual abuse.
Our goal as a Y is to train our community and spread the knowledge of sexual abuse. Through community trainings, we hope to decrease the number of children being abused and educate adults about the signs to look for in children that are being abused.

The Stoughton branch carries out the YMCA principles of mental, physical and spiritual health. The community center offers many programs for adults, teens and families, including aquatics, fitness, cooking and educational classes. The facility has a fitness center, indoor track, auditorium, pool, team-building course and an outdoor field.
