There was a two-car accident at the intersection of Plain Street and Washington Street, Wednesday morning at 8:48 a.m., according to Executive Officer Robert Devine of the Stoughton Police Department. Stoughton Police and Fire units responded to the accident, where a vehicle pulling out of Plain Street did not yield to a vehicle driving on Washington Street, getting "broadsided" in the process, according to Devine. Lesson to be learned from car-theft: A "green civic" with an Olivio's Grille and Pizzeria sign on top of the vehicle was stolen from behind the pizza shop Wednesday evening at 8:18 p.m., according to police reports. Olivio's is located in the downtown area at 752 Washington Street; there are "no leads right now as to where the car is," according to Executive Officer Robert Devine. Both D'Angelo restaurants in town robbed this month: Police say a suspect came into the D'Angelo sandwich shop on Central Street this past Saturday at 9:45 p.m. and passed a note saying he had a gun and wanted any money the store had on hand, before eventually making off with approximately $700. Executive Officer Robert Devine said the suspect in this robbery is a white male in his mid-to-late 20s, is between 5'9 and 5'11, has a thin build and was clean shaven at the time of the incident.
