Three Arrested Following Sunday Morning Fight in Stoughton

Two people from Stoughton and one from Brockton were arrested following a fight on Seaver St. in Stoughton the morning of August 5.

 

Three people were arrested the morning of August 5 after Stoughton Police responded to a call for a fight outside of 15 Seaver St. at 10:27 a.m.

Upon arrival, Officer Robert Duke witnessed Nicholas Rivera strike another man in the face, according to the Stoughton Police Department's Facebook Page.

"Holding the crowd at bay with his pepper spray while awaiting backup officers, Ofc. Duke subdued Rivera and placed him under arrest," the SPD Facebook page states.

Nicholas Rivera, 23, of Brockton, was charged with assault and battery and disorderly conduct. He also faces other arrest warrants.

James McElaney, 52, of School St. in Stoughton, was charged with assault and battery.

And, Tammy Rivera, 46, of Seaver St. in Stoughton, was charged with using a motor vehicle without authority.
