SUPER BOWL PREDICTIONS
“Hmmm…it will be close…Patriots 21, Giants 18. MVP? Who else? Tom Brady. I have been to Gillette Stadium for every home game this season, there were two against the Giants, Patriots lost both of them (preseason and regular season). 19-18 and 20-24.
It won’t be an easy game…but the Patriots can do it. (They better or all my family and friends in NY will be taunting me forever!). -- Christine Lott, founder, ChrisCares.Org

“Mark: I know that the so-called experts favor the Giants to win. It seems as though they make this pick because of the Giants wins over both Green Bay and San Francisco. However, it seems to me that these wins were more about the collapse of both San Fran and Green Bay and not necessarily about the strength of the Giants. I can't see Tom Brady and company providing these same opportunities to the Giants in the biggest game of them all. We all know that the Pats have something to prove to the Giants as well. My pick is the Pats to win 31-28 with Rob Gronkowski as MVP!”--Paul Dawson, Town Administrator in Marion

“I've gone back and forth about how I feel about this game and whether or not the Patriots can win on Sunday. It all comes down to protecting Tom Brady, which is the key to victory in every game, but especially this one as the Giants have that vaunted front four on the defensive line.
That being said, Patriots 24, Giants 20--a reversal of the Week 9 result between these two clubs at Gillette back in November. In what can only be described as poetic justice, Tom Brady leads a go-ahead touchdown drive for the fourth straight game against the Giants since 2007. Only unlike the most recent two (Super Bowl 42 and Week 9 of this season), the Patriots defense stops Eli Manning--no fluke catches this time--and New England holds on for the win, completing the Revenge Tour '12--two regular season wins against the Jets keeping them out of the playoffs ('10 playoff loss); playoff wins against Denver ('05 playoff loss), Baltimore ('09 playoff loss), and the Giants (Super Bowl 42 loss). And, of course the Super Bowl is played in Indianapolis (site of the '06 AFC Championship loss).” -- Jeffrey Pickette, Editor, Stoughton Patch

Lingerie Bowl IX, Sunday 4PM MTV2. Philadelphia vs Los Angeles. Women's Arena Football. If you haven't watched it, it is really fun to watch. Full contact Football Helmets (Hockey type w/face mask) & Shoulder pads are the only protection. I've learned not to "tick off" a woman, they can hit hard. I'm old, but I ain't dead. Great way to lead into the other game instead of watching more of the same we've heard for two weeks. I don't know about you, I'm sick of it. Can't wait for it to be over. Oops, if they win, we'll hear about it until preseason opens. If they lose, we'll NEVER hear the end of it. I'm DVRing it and going to bed early. I'll watch the game in 30 minutes, early Mon morn, cutting out the ads & half time. I can always delete it if the outcome isn't in our favor and won't have my stomach churning all night. I have to work Monday. I'm part of the 2/3 of the country that doesn't live or die pro sports any longer. Found many other worthwhile interests. To all who live for this game...enjoy it, have fun, you're entitled to do so. Go wild for your team, just don't do anything that will disrupt another's enjoyment. Think of how you would feel. Lets not be like those "fans???" in Egypt. 'Nuf said.
