Stoughton Youth Baseball Opening Day
Stoughton Youth Baseball celebrated Opening Day with a Saturday morning parade and then a full slate of games.
On what turned out to be a near-perfect early spring day, Stoughton Youth Baseball kicked off the season with their annual Opening Day Parade on Saturday, featuring teams from T-ball to the Major Leagues making their way towards V.F.W. Memorial Field, the home of Stoughton Youth Baseball.
The parade was followed by a full slate of games at the complex.
Take a look at the media gallery to check out images from the morning parade and from the afternoon games.

My husband and I have lived in Stoughton on Perry Street for 29 years and have had the pleasure of watching the opening day parade every year. Just seeing all of the fresh faces showing obvious excitement for a new baseball season is absolutely heartwarming. We have always come out of the house and stood at the end of our driveway to applaude, wave and cheer on each team. Sadly, looking up and down the street we don't see anyone else doing the same. These kids are involved in such a healthy, strong program with alot of time and energy given by parents and volunteers to provide this for them, I am disappointed that so many do not show just a few minutes of visable support. I AM proud of the Town of Stoughton for continuing the tradition of the ceremonial parade with police, fire and town personnel participating to show their support for the kids. Good Job, Stoughton.
