Court Log from the Stoughton District Courthouse, Jan. 24-28.
Woman charged with heroin possession continued to March 16
Cecilia A. Reilly, 40, of Porter St., Stoughton had a charge of possession of a Class A drug continued to March 16 for a pretrial hearing. The charge stems from a July 3, 2010 incident in Stoughton. Police said they responded to a report of a woman "shooting heroin" into her arm at a convenience store parking lot in Stoughton and that a child was in the car with her.
Officers followed the woman home, approached her and saw what appeared to be fresh needle marks in her arm. Reilly told police it was a burn mark.
Reilly was also found guilty of a separate charge of shoplifting by concealing merchandise, second offense, and was ordered to pay a $350 fine.
The charge stemmed from a Oct. 6, 2010 incident at Stop & Shop in Stoughton. Police said a store clerk spotted Reilly possibly concealing merchandise. She was later found in possession of 39 general merchandise items, total value $164.35, according to the police incident report.
Reilly also had a warrant outstanding for nonpayment of fine for shoplifting.
Canton man has larceny charge continued without a guilty finding
Peter D. Donahue, 23, of Weathervane Road, Canton had a charge of larceny from a building continued without a finding of guilty to Feb. 14.
The charge stems from a Dec. 21, 2009 incident at Cumberland Farms, 1634 Turnpike St., Stoughton. Police alleged that two black males entered the store at 5:39 p.m., one attempting to make change at the cash register. A store employee suspected it was a distraction as two wallets later were reported missing. The store manager identified Donahue on store surveillance video as the suspect entering the store office.
