Assault and Battery
A Stoughton man was arrested the morning of August 13 following a report of alleged "ongoing neighbor harassment" at a Chestnut St. apartment.
Patrick Jay, 45, of Stoughton, was charged with breaking and entering during the daytime for a felony; assault and battery; and indecent assault and battery on a person over 14.
Smells like Marijuana
Policed received a call at 5:53 p.m. on August 13 reporting "the smell of marijuana" coming from an apartment unit on Stagecoach Road.
Officers investigated, but while a faint smell of marijuana was detected, police were unable to determine the exact apartment, according to the log.
Police received a call at 9:38 p.m. on August 13 for a report that a white male was dragging a white female from the parking lot of the Olive Garden on Technology Center Drive.
According to the log, the "call was unfounded." However, officers arrived and found a group of youths had thrown a water bottle at a vehicle, but the owner of the vehicle did not want to press charges.
Police Respond to Fight
Police received a call at 10:52 p.m. on August 13 reporting a man and woman fighting on Bay Road.
The alleged incident actually occurred on the Sharon side of the road. Stoughton Police arrived on scene and assisted the Sharon PD.
Police received a call at 5:44 p.m. on August 12 for reports that a tree fell and took and took down power lines on Bay Road near Cleary Drive.
According to the log, the Stoughton Police and Fire Department was dispatched to the scene and National Grid was notified of the incident.
Police reported that a resident was cutting a tree in his yard and the tree hit the wires.
Police received a call at 6:35 p.m. on August 12 that a person riding a bike had been hit by a car at the intersection of Washington St. and Avalon St. However, the log notes that no one was transported to the hospital.
Unwanted Person at Alex's
Police received a call at 7:36 p.m. on August 12 from an employee at Club Alex's on Washington St. stating that there was an unwanted person there. The employee told police that this person said he had weapons in his car.
Police arrived on scene and after checking the vehicle found no weapons and the person in question was "sent on his way."
