Stoughton Obituaries (Week of June 25)
The following are obituaries for Stoughton residents or those with Stoughton ties for the week of June 25: Sara Escudero; Patricia Ann (Simoes) Kudryk; Janet M. (Hazelum) Mack; and Robert J. Warnock.
Sara was the wife for 43 years of Jorge Vidal. Born and raised in Valparaiso, Chile, she was the daughter of the late Juan Escudero and Aida Varas.
A resident of Stoughton since 1985, Sara was a graduate of Massasoit Community College and received her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from University of Massachusetts, Boston.
She had been employed for nearly 20 years as a nurse, first at St. Joseph Manor in Brockton and currently at the Hebrew Rehabilitation Center in Roslindale.
Sara was hard working and always put others needs before her own. Education and continuing to learn throughout her life were very important to her, as well as the pride she felt for her daughters and grandchildren.
In addition to her husband she is survived by her daughters Claudia Gallagher and her husband David of Wareham; Carolina Vidal, Paula Vidal and her husband Jason Vivada and Perla Vidal all of Stoughton; two grandchildren Emily Rose and David Gallagher, Jr.; four sisters Laura, Marta, Rosa and Cristina Escudero all of Chile and many nieces and nephews in Chile and Sweden.
A service in the funeral home was held Friday at Conley Funeral Home in Brockton. Burial took place at Evergreen Cemetery in Stoughton. Donations in Sara’s name may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, PO Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38148-0142.
PATRICIA ANN (SIMOES) KUDRYK
Patricia Ann (Simoes) Kudryk, 67, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died peacefully at home on Wednesday, June 27, surrounded by her family. She was the wife of 43 years of Emil J. Kudryk.
Born in Boston, she was raised in Hyde Park and graduated from Hyde Park High School.
She was a resident of Stoughton for 40 years. Mrs. Kudryk was a homemaker. She enjoyed annual vacations to Aruba for the past 20 years and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Kudryk is survived by her daughter, Laura Little and her husband Mark and their children, Matthew and Rebecca; her son, John Kudryk and Jennifer Skowronek and their daughter Emily; her siblings, Mary Barron of Readville, Rose Powell and Robert Simoes both of Hyde Park, Manuel Simoes, Jr. and Linda Cofran both of Stoughton, Irene Belmonte of Canton, Louise Kornmuller of Norwood and Catherine Cofran of Yarmouth and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, John, Richard and Anthony Simoes.
Funeral was held at the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. in Stoughton on Saturday, June 30, followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church in Stoughton. Interment took place at Knollwood Memorial Park in Canton.

JANET M. (HAZELUM) MACK
Janet M. (Hazelum) Mack, 75, died Tuesday, June 26, 2012, at her home under the care of the Hospice of Boston & Greater Brockton after a long illness. She was the loving wife of Donald F. Mack.
Born in Brockton, she was raised and educated in Brockton and was a graduate of St. Patrick's High School in Brockton.
Mrs. Mack was a resident of Stoughton for more than 35 years. She was a devoted homemaker, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. In her free time, she enjoyed spending time with her family.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Mack is survived by her daughter, Joanne Saltmarsh and her husband Richard of Stoughton. She was the devoted grandmother of Ashley Ottaviano, Amanda Saltmarsh and Abby Saltmarsh and the great grandmother of Alianna Colon. She was the sister of Nancy Thetonia of Bridgewater and Carol Luke of Brockton.

ROBERT J. WARNOCK
Robert J. Warnock, 85, of Stoughton died Saturday, June 23, at his home after a period of declining health. He was the loving husband of 63 years of Elizabeth "Betty" (McGonagle) Warnock.
Born in Boston, he was raised in the South End and was a graduate of the Boston Public Schools. Bob was a US Navy Veteran of World War II and served on several submarines, including the USS Raton, the USS Rasher, and the USS Atule. He worked as an Iron Worker for Local 7 in Boston for more than 42 years, helping to build some of Boston's tallest buildings and towers.
He retired in 1990 enjoying more than 20 years of retirement with family and friends. Bob and Betty, along with Betty's sister Nancy and her husband Jack, were a traveling foursome who journeyed to England, the American southwest and made numerous winter trips to Florida. An avid fan of the New England Patriots, Mr. Warnock enjoyed tending to his yard, spending time with his family and especially spending time with his beloved wife Betty.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, James R. Warnock and his wife Carol of Lincoln, Vermont, Barbara A. Lloyd and her husband Geoffrey of Ottawa, Canada and Janice M. Smith and her husband John H. Smith, Jr. of Norton. He was the brother of Patricia Carr of Michigan and the late John F. and Russell W. Warnock, both of South Boston.
He was the loving grandfather of Todd and Erin Warnock, Vanessa and Robert Lloyd, Jayme and Andrew Donndelinger, Jill Donovan, Lindsey and Joshua Smith and the late James Donndelinger. And he was blessed to be the great grandfather of Kosmo and Namid Ruiz-Warnock, Scout Heyns, Mackenzie Donovan, Shawn Michael Donovan and Kaitlyn "Katie-Kate" Donovan.
A Funeral was held at the Farley Funeral Home in Stoughton on Saturday, June 30, followed by a Funeral Mass at St. James Church in Stoughton Interment took place at Evergreen Cemetery in Stoughton.
