Updated at 9:30 a.m. on August 21:

Daniel Timmons, a 39-year-old man from Stoughton, was driving a 2002 Honda motorcycle traveling southbound on Route 95/Route 128 at Route 1 in Westwood when he lost control of his motorcycle and crashed off the shoulder of the roadway.

The accident occurred at 4 p.m. on Monday, August 20.

Timmons was transported by medical helicopter to Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston with what was originally reported as life-threatening injuries. However, in a followup release Tuesday morning, the State Police said it appears Timmons’ injuries are not life-threatening in nature.

Massachusetts State Police troopers assigned to the State Police Barracks in Framingham responded to the accident. The facts and circumstances of the crash remain under investigation by the State Police. Troopers were assisted at the scene by the Westwood Fire Department and EMS.
