Stoughton High’s Paredes Top Heavyweight in the Hockomock [VIDEO]
Highlights from the Hockomock League Wrestling Championship and Stoughton High’s Senior Night.
For the second consecutive year, Stoughton High’s Andrew “Paco” Paredes finished first in the Hockomock League Heavyweight wrestling championships, held last Saturday at North Attleboro High School.
Stephen Colling came in third in the 113-pound class, while Sean Flaherty finished fourth in the 182-pound class.
All three are seniors and will be advancing to the sectional tournament.

On Wednesday, the Stoughton High wrestling team had its Senior Night against Canton, honoring seniors Paredes, Colling, Flaherty, Kevin Richard and Marty Petrie. The Black Knights fell 45-36, but had several solid efforts.
Mike Dixon (138), Mike Carroll (170), Flaherty (182), Petrie (220) and Paredes (285) all earned victories.
